      Buckle Church (Turkish, Tokalı Kilise) in the Göreme Open Air Museum is the finest of all the Cappadocian cave churches. The interior has the finest mural paintings, theologically and artistically. Buckle Church is actually a complex of four churches and a hermitage, all dating to the ’s. The result is a splendid book that guides the reader towards a deeper appreciation of the region and a better understanding of its art and history. Designed in landscape format (35x 48cms), the book has pages. There are color plates, some presented as double page spreads, and 57 pages of text. Each image plate has a descriptive text.
